There’s a lot of discussion about how Rockefellers and Rothschilds run the Illuminati, but in truth the trail into the oligarchy ruling the planet runs wider and deeper than two families. There are many others jousting for a slice of the skim. The Mellons, for example.
Banker Andrew Mellon (left) was appointed Secretary of the Treasury by President Warren Harding, known today as one of the most corrupt executives to occupy the Oval Office. His administration was brief, however, as Harding died unexpectedly under mysterious circumstances while visiting San Francisco. Some say it was flu, others blame a heart attack, but we’ll never know for sure because his widow refused an autopsy, while rushing back to Washington to quickly burn all his papers.
Mellon kept his job through two more administrations, which shows how immense his influence was. He invented trickle-down economics and cut the tax rate on the richest Americans from 75% to 25%, while reducing corporate and inheritance taxes. Although he was a great friend to the super rich, eventually Congress launched an impeachment hearing against him and began marshaling evidence of corruption, which prompted Mellon to swiftly resign to become Ambassador to England, always a plum posting for oligarchy insiders. He remained only a year, however, before retiring from public life, indicating the move was a diversion from a sticky situation.
Among Mellon’s most notable accomplishments was the vast reduction of WWI debt owed by Germany and France, as well as the creation of the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs. He unleashed his nephew-in-law Harry J. Anslinger to foment a war on marijuana and jazz culture after the Bureau of Prohibition became obsolete. Creating a war on plants was Mellon’s solution for keeping his alcohol vice squad intact.
President Franklin Roosevelt detested Mellon and launched an IRS investigation which determined he owed two million in back taxes, even though Mellon was the third largest tax payer behind Rockefeller and Ford. Rather than pay up, however, Mellon justified his reduced payment by explaining that as Secretary of the Treasury, he could set his own tax rate on himself according to what he felt he owed. The IRS dropped the case after Mellon’s death.
In 1958, Richard Mellon Scaife (left) inherited a chunk of the Mellon fortune after the death of this father Alan, who’d served as a major in the Office of Strategic Services, precursor of the CIA. In fact, a number of Mellons can be found in crucial positions in the OSS. While a freshman, Scaife was kicked out of Yale. He’d rolled a keg of beer down a flight of stairs, where it collided with another student, breaking his leg. When his mother died in 1972, Scaife became a billionaire and took control of the vast Mellon empire. According to his sister Cordelia, Richard, his mother and her were “gutter drunks.”
Scaife became a supporter of Barry Goldwater and was crushed by his resounding defeat at the polls. In order to take control of the country from the Democrats, it became necessary to muster a grassroots campaign to derail the exploding counterculture revolution. Scaife would soon either create or take control of countless propaganda fronts and think tanks, and by working divisive issues like abortion and gun control, the operation began constructing what became known as “the moral majority.”
Robert LeFevre was one of the first libertarians and founded a school in Colorado designed to indoctrinate leaders for a right-wing revolution. LeFevre became the model for a character in a Robert Heinlein novel, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. Among those who attended the school was Kerry Thornley, who served at Atsuki and became a close associate of Lee Harvey Oswald, as well as members of the now-famous Koch family, who helped create the notoriously conspiratorial John Birch Society and also backed Goldwater’s failed presidential bid.
On the other side of the dialectic, however, Scaife’s cousin Billy Mellon Hitchcock became Tim Leary’s sugar daddy, and began bankrolling an LSD distribution network that was soon raking in illegal profits. One of Billy’s operatives was Ronald H. Stark, who apparently carried a copy of The Moon is a Harsh Mistress wherever he appeared. And Stark appeared in some of the strangest places, like a Zelig planted inside the counterculture.
In 1983, Scaife held a meeting with FBI informant John Rees and Chip Berlet, formally of the National Student Association, a CIA-front. The purpose of the meeting was to establish a hit squad on the emerging Lyndon LaRouche organization that was recruiting undergraduates (many of whom were of Jewish descent) into a political action hit-team aimed at discrediting both the counterculture and the new right-wing movement being fomented by key families around the country, most notably: Scaife in Pittsburgh, Bradley in Milwaukee, Olin in New York, Smith Richardson in Pittsboro, Coors in Denver, and Koch in Wichita.
Chip Berlet briefly became Washington DC editor of High Times magazine, and hosted A.J. Weberman when he came to investigate the JFK assassination. Thornley and Weberman would play key roles in sheep-dipping E. Howard Hunt as key instigator of the JFK hit, a rabbit hole I believe was cleverly devised by James Angelton to shield the real operatives, Bill Harvey and Johnny Roselli. They’d been charged with the mission to kill Castro, but after JFK called off the hit and began working for world peace, the CIA-sponsored hit team went off-the-shelf and hit JFK instead of Castro.
When you peer deeply into these events, it seems many of these famous altercations are staged dialectics for propaganda effect. By simultaneously funding Communists and anti-Communists, one can control the debate parameters, and these massive feuds have a way of building true believers on both sides of the divide.
In 1606 some manifestos appeared in Germany opposing the Catholic Church and claiming secret knowledge from the east. Although the Protestant revolution had been ongoing for nearly a hundred years (having been launched in 1516 by an ordained priest at the University of Wittenburg named Martin Luther), these new mystical manifestos drew on Arabic, Judaic and Greek influences, while Luther’s Reformation was based around the Christian Bible.
Christian Rosenkreuz was listed as author of the manifestos, but many years later Johann Valenntin Andreae (left) claimed credit for authoring at least one of them (the Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz) and he revealed the treatise had been initially intended as satire, claiming the fictional Rosenkrutz lived to the advanced age of 106, longevity attributed to a study of Indian mysticism. The secret order was intended to usher in the age of enlightenment and inductees were said to possess magical knowledge that would transform arts and sciences, but according to Andreae it was a hoodwink that took on a life of its own.
The oligarchies have long been fascinated by magic, and easily suckered into a fraudulent seance, and Rosicrucianism became big very quickly because Europe was going through a zeitgeist shift. Secret societies were sprouting everywhere, and many were advancing the concepts of liberty, equality and fraternity, ideas that threatened the status quo ruled by the monarchies and their anointed churches. The largest and most successful secret society was Freemasonry, which had taken much from the outlawed Templars, but Rosicrucianism had a big influence on the evolution of masonry, and some of its mystical concepts were incorporated into the emerging masonic rituals. A few Rosicrucians began charging exorbitant fees for arranging ceremonies and sharing secret wisdom.
But in 1776, a new secret society appeared, and it immediately positioned itself as antagonistic to both the Catholic Church and Rosicrucianism. Interestingly, this new secret society was created at a Jesuit university by a Jesuit-trained lawyer who specialized in canon law of the Catholic Church. However, most of the membership never knew his name and a story would be spread on how the Illuminati were actually controlled by a small group of illuminated masters (just like the Rosicrucians supposedly were). This may actually have been the case if Adam Weishaupt was fronting for some hidden force or cabal seeking to infect Freemasonry from within.
Both the Rosicrucians and the Illuminati were recruiting members from within the masonic lodges and other secret societies, but the Illuminati were doing it in great secrecy. Weishaupt’s strategy was to recruit the leader of a lodge because if the leader became Illuminati, the entire lodge could be easily manipulated. Although Weishaupt claimed to be fomenting the downfall of religion and royalty, he was actively recruiting the rich and powerful and seems to have had a somewhat a shifty agenda. Meanwhile, many members of secret societies at the time suspected their lodges had been penetrated by Jesuits, Rosicrucians, Illuminati, or all of the above. It was a very conspiratorial time.
Mt. Vernon, October 24, 1798
Revd Sir: …It was not my intention to doubt that, the Doctrines of the Illuminati, and principles of Jacobinism had not spread in the United States. On the contrary, no one is more satisfied of this fact than I am….
(The Writings of George Washington from the Original Manuscript Sources, 1745-1799. John C Fitzpatrick, Editor)
I realize there’s a popular movement afoot led by Madonna and others to resurrect the Illuminati as a force for good, something spearheaded by Robert Anton Wilson many decades ago, but I don’t subscribe to that belief, and view the organization much the same as Washington did in 1798. He considered it a “diabolical” plot to separate “people from their government.”
There’s little doubt the Bonesmen of Yale are the closest thing we have today to Weishaupt’s Illuminati, and Bonesmen have penetrated the upper strata of business, banking and intelligence, not to mention the media and the energy corporations. Their objective seems to be self-enrichment and acquisition of power, and apparently has little to do with enlightenment or helping the common people unlock the chains of exploitation.
It’s funny how communists organized in secret cells just like the Illuminati. And they also obeyed an unknown central authority at all cost, just like the Illuminati. I’m fascinated by the history of communism in America because it appears the movement was penetrated and manipulated by spooks from its inception. In April 1958, a leader of the American communist movement named Morris Childs was sent to the Soviet Union and China to meet with top officials and after three months he returned to secretly report to President Dwight D. Eisenhower and members of his national security staff. Enormous penetration ops were embedding secret agents into both sides of this carefully-managed dialectic from day one.
Simultaneously, in 1947, the CIA created the National Student Association (NSA) during a meeting of student activists in Madison, Wisconsin. Interestingly, there was a strong Catholic block inside the NSA that voted as a group. The NSA was one of the few organizations that openly opposed McCarthy’s anti-communist movement, quickly leading to allegations they were a communist front, when, in fact, they were a CIA front pretending to be a communist front.
It’s funny how so many devout communists from this era would emerge later in life as neo-cons, or how members of the violent Weather Underground got professorships, leaving me to wonder if some of these people weren’t spooks all along. John Foster “Chip” Berlet wrote a series of books on student activism for the NSA, and he took thousands of photos of student activists during this period. He also became an active shop steward for the National Lawyers’ Guild, which also opposed McCarthism and was similarly accused of being a communist front, leaving me to wonder about its possible CIA-connections.
Today Berlet runs a think tank for the CIA-connected Ford Foundation, and has become the leading authority debunking conspiracy theories involving 9/11 and the CIA. Strangely, he momentarily became the Washington DC editor for High Times, and wrote an attack on Lyndon LaRouche that was published in that magazine. LaRouche appears to be an intelligence operation himself because there is migration from his staff to the Pentagon, as in the case of Laurent Murawiec, who became an analyst for the CIA-connected RAND corporation while writing articles for the highly conspiratorial Executive Intelligence Review, leading me to believe there are some staged confrontations and dialectical games at play here.
Was communism created as an op from day one or was it was merely penetrated and taken over after taking root? There’s likely a reason why nearly every modern revolution and progressive movement against colonialism and imperialism has been subverted by communists and that reason may be because communism looks a lot like fascism in disguise.
Could the Jesuits have created the Illuminati to contain the enlightenment? Did MI6 promote communism for a similar purpose? When dealing with the wonderful world of spooks difficult questions like these should be considered carefully because intelligence operations are designed as a wilderness of mirrors where up is down, left is right, and although people have the power whenever they want to take it, and could vote away the wealth of the oligarchy if they were better organized with more effective, focused leadership, and there’s plenty enough resources to take care of everyone if only they could be better distributed, in truth, any successful movement that supports an agenda like that will instantly be penetrated by spooks.
Religious beliefs have been officially recognized as a form of mental illness by the American Medical Association, an action that paves the way for all church-goers to be institutionalized should they continue to lose faith in the American way of life. This unexpected new decision was made Friday by delegates in Boston, who went against a recommendation from the committee that had studied the subject.
“The appeal of religious fundamentalism is threefold: First, these cultists claim to explain what empirical, institutional analysis cannot. They make sense out of a world that is otherwise confusing. Second, they do so in an appealingly simple way, dividing the world sharply between the forces of light, and the forces of darkness and trace all evil back to a single source, the devil, and his various agents. Third, religious cultists claim special knowledge unknown or unappreciated by others. For the cultist, the heathen masses are a brainwashed herd under the command of ultimate evil, while the cultist congratulate themselves on being able to penetrate these deceptions.”
Religious fundamentalism as a disease has become a question ever since the Central Intelligence Agency began lobbying to have “conspirisim” labeled as a mental disorder, a campaign begun by John Foster “Chip” Berlet and continued by Michael Barkun, a campaign that was initiated to silence government dissent. Now, the government moves to place similar controls against other groups who hold non-scientific views about the nature of reality.
Ok, so the AMA didn’t say this. I made it up. The quote, however, is practically verbatim from Michael Barkun, who works closely with the FBI, and has become a leading debunker on conspiracy theory, an op that involves lumping all the theories, especially the wackiest ones, in with the real researchers, and acting as if it’s all the same stuff. In other words, no conspiracy theory is valid because they are all based in delusion? How’s that for stifling all deep political research? Yet, if you just substitute Barkun’s “conspiracy theorist” with the name of any religious, social or even educational movement, and you can easily deride virtually anyone for following delusional herd instincts.
I got my first speeding ticket during a recent trip to my hometown in central Illinois after pulling out onto a busy street with cars coming in both directions. I’d goosed the gas so as not to force oncoming traffic to brake. Unfortunately, this happened right in front of a speed trap.
I can remember a time when the police looked and talked pretty much like everyone else in town. Those days are gone. Today, they seem to be coming out of a different mold, like Navy Seals on steroids. Which I wouldn’t mind at all if they were friendly Seals.
The whole encounter gave me a creepy feeling. And it wasn’t just the $120 fine. After I got home, I had solicitations from a lawyer as well as a County Clerk offering a $50 safety course as a diversion to shield my insurance premiums and driving record. Every aspect of law enforcement is being mined for profit. And that’s really the way the whole country runs these days: whatever makes money is good.
But talking about the sorry state of American culture is not popular these days, and the kids have much more important things to focus on, like intensely violent video games. Meanwhile, most rights promised by our Constitution have virtually been disappeared while most wealth has quietly and quickly been drained into the hands of a small group of interlocking corporations operating on a global scale.
In the 1950s, everyone assumed global conspiracies were real and the biggest was supposed to be the Communist conspiracy. There were, in fact, secret Communist cells operating in major cities across the USA. But what they don’t tell you is that most of these were penetrated, if not controlled, by spooks.
Communism was funded by certain banks to the tune of millions of dollars, and the same banks that setup Communism, also setup the Nazi Party and fostered the Hitler war machine. A key banker involved in this hoodwink was Prescott Bush, whose family would soon rise to great power.
In the 1960s a vast social movement started with teenagers rebelling against their parent’s culture and forging a new path not based solely on the profit motive. Will another generation like that ever emerge again?
There’s an 8th Grade graduation test going around facebook that looks more like something you’d see in graduate school than Middle School and it really hit home just how dumbed-down teens have become. One wonders what possible role pills and processed foods have played in this ongoing de-evolution. Back in the 1960s, a whisleblower from one of the rightwing think tanks (Antony Sutton) showed how our education system had been hijacked by the Eastern Establishment and the one-hour classes and bell-ringing was introduced via German ideas on building compliant factory workers and soldiers. It was more about socializing kids to accept authority than empowering their abilities. And the reality that we’ve been headed down that road ever since shows in the dismal rankings of our schools as compared with other countries. If we would just empower the kids instead of breaking their spirits while filling their minds with violence and sex through the media.
But politics is so passe these days. Turn up the gangsta rap and pass me an Adderall.
And don’t think the FBI and CIA didn’t jump headfirst into the counterculture revolution, planting stooges in positions of power, same as they did with the Communist revolution. Which brings me to the origins of “conspiracism,” a word invented by John Foster “Chip” Berlet.
Berlet dropped out of the University of Denver in 1971 to join the counterculture revolution. He edited a series of books for the National Student Association. Years later we would learn the National Student Association was a CIA front and that at least 400 journalists were secretly working for the CIA, producing mountains of disinfo in an operation known as “Mockingbird.”
Berlet worked briefly for High Times as Washington correspondent, although the only significant journalism he contributed was an attack on Lyndon LaRouche. That’s an interesting story on its own, since LaRouche was one of those weird Marxists who appeared in the 1960s using military-grade mind control techniques to construct a cabal of followers. LaRouche has produced numerous articles exposing Berlet’s intelligence connections. What I see in their encounters today is a staged dialectic with a couple of veteran spooks role-playing against each other.
Today, Berlet’s research is funded by the Ford Foundation, long known to have a close relationship with the CIA. See, when researchers like Danny Casolaro started investigating the connections between the JFK assassination, Watergate, Iran-Contra, the Marcos gold, all the dots started to line up. So Berlet became the front man on messing up that blackboard. “Nothing to see here!” He invented the word “conspiracism” as a major ploy in that op.
We know where the pinnacles of power reside: The central banks, the oil companies, the military, the universities and the religions are all important elements. What we never investigate, however, is the connections between these centers of power. The Federal Reserve operates in secrecy because they don’t want you to know the names of any major stockholders of that privately-held corporation.
More recently, Berlet has handed the “conspiracism” crown to Michael Barkun who has become the media’s new go-to guy when discussing the crazy conspiracy theorists. Barkun’s close relationship to the FBI is no secret. Most of what these guys discuss in the way of conspiracy theory involves either Alex Jones or David Icke, both undoubtedly controlled lighting rods who manufacture paranoia rather than real research.
And that’s how this operation works. Icke and Jones lead people into paranoia, and then Berlet and Barkun brand all researchers as paranoid. Meanwhile, the British Journal of Psychology has already published a paper on the dire effects of viewing conspiracy websites.
“Participants were exposed to conspiracy theories concerning the issue of climate change. Results revealed exposure to information supporting the conspiracy theories reduced participants’ intentions to reduce their carbon footprint, relative to participants who were given refuting information, or those in a control condition. This effect was mediated by powerlessness with respect to climate change, uncertainty, and disillusionment. The findings suggest conspiracy theories may have potentially significant social consequences, and highlight the need for further research on the social psychology of conspiracism.”
The word is already in the psychology lexicon and it’s only a matter of years before they start locking up people like me for the insane belief that a hidden cabal might be orchestrating wars for profit. And all because I have this silly idea that war produces 17 times more profit than peace, at least if your industry is based in the military-industrial establishment.
If you really want to step out of this matrix, a great place to start would be my ebook Dirty Money, which you can read in less than an hour and costs less than a dollar. It traces the corruption running through the banking industry since it was invented. It just might open your eyes to some of the shit going on behind the curtain.
For ten years I’ve been predicting that prohibition would soon fade away as fast as the Berlin Wall collapsed. All it was going to take is one state to pass legalization, just like alcohol prohibition quickly dissolved after New York State refused to recognize it. But I never thought pot legalization would hit two states at once! Jackpot! The only problem now is deciding which state to move to. The green rush is officially on and one wonders how fast this fever will spread to the East Coast, meaning should I relocate now or just start agitating for legalization in my own community?
I do 20 college debates a year against former NY DEA chief Bob Stutman. We’ve become friends over the last 12 years, crisscrossing the country together. We’ve actually influenced each other. They call us the Ultimate Odd Couple and I guess we are. Bob turned me against smoking and I helped convert him towards a vegan diet. All heart disease is a result of eating animal products and if you give them up, in three months your body will heal itself and you’ll need never worry about having a heart attack or stroke. There’s a great documentary on Netfilx and Amazon Prime titled Forks Not Knives, in which some biochemists go over the scientific data, in case you don’t want to take my word for it. We visited two schools this week, one in Wichita Falls, Texas, and one in Omaha, Nebraska. I always attempt to organize a chapter of SSDP at every school I visit, and I usually do about half the time. We’ve been to over 200 schools in the last 12 years, so do the math. Normally, five to ten people sign up to be members right after the debate, but this time over 30 people signed up at each school. That tells me college kids are going to get serious about legalization and I can see the light at the end of this tunnel.
So I’ve already got my new cause in place because my years as a cannabis activist will likely be drawing to a close soon. I’m hoping, however, that in the delirious joy that follows legalization, the population may consider the cannabis hoodwink just the tip of an iceberg of hoodwinks, and maybe even start agitating for a new 9/11 investigation, which would certainly blast open the doors on National Security corruption.
If you want to understand how mind control works, look no farther than the widespread belief that anyone who disbelieves the official government version of 9/11 is a deluded crackpot. This is a view perpetuated by Noam Chompski and all designated spokespeople for the official left-wing, who can be recognized by their frequent appearances on television, major book deals and so on. Many of these people sit comfortably inside the Council on Foreign Relations, where a lot of the dialectical management takes place, at least the part that’s not hidden inside the cloak of National Security.
In reality, Dubya obstructed a 9/11 investigation from day one, at first refusing to appoint a commission, and then suggesting Henry Kissinger lead it. Kissinger has business relations with England, Israel, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia. If you study the facts of 9/11, you’ll quickly learn Saudi Arabia and Pakistan were providing aid to the terrorists, while the Mossad and British intelligence were conducting surveillance.
Any intelligent person should be howling mad at this point, and demands for an independent investigation should have rattled the halls of Congress. Instead we got a very limited investigation that never tracked into Pakistan, Saudi Arabia or Israel, even though many Mossad spies were picked up immediately after the event and quickly shipped back to Israel. The most respected Jewish newspaper, The Forward, interviewed Chip Berlet when the spies filming the Twin Towers collapse were picked up in New Jersey, in a van that tested positive for explosives, and then quickly sent to Israel. Nothing to see here, said Berlet essentially, just keep moving.
Meanwhile, I’m thinking, why is the Forward calling Chip Berlet for a quote about Israeli spies being sent back to Israel? Are they saying he’s some sort of expert on Mossad activities? It’s really funny because Berlet first contacted me after my original JFK article came out. I’d just been contacted by Bo Gritz and Fletcher Prouty, who both thanked me for writing the article. I responded by interviewing Gritz about US involvement in the heroin trade in Vietnam. Although Gritz was the most decorated soldier to come out of that war, he was greatly disillusioned with the system after Khun Sa told him Richard Armitage (personal envoy to then President George H. W. Bush) was his biggest customer for raw opium. Berlet soon wrote a piece titled “Right Woos Left” in regards to the fact renegade sides from the managed dialectic were slipping off the leash and sharing incriminating information about corruption inside the system in an attempt to expose the Octopus team orchestrating major crimes for profit.
Maybe you think I’m delusional for thinking such a team exists, embedded deep into the world’s oligarchies, who have been in power for two thousand years. But I don’t see how any rational person can object to an independent 9/11 investigation, can you? Why is it considered treason to investigate this incident? Not a single gumshoe reporter from any mainstream publication spent one day investigating the crime of the century? Instead, somehow, the concept was conveyed and burned into the brains of America that it is disloyal to suggest such an investigation is ever going to be necessary. And that, my friends, is exactly how sophisticated mind control works.
And as a coda, let’s consider the interesting career of foundation-funded Chip Berlet, who, according to Kris Millegan, was posing online right around 9/11 as Sean McBride, a person disseminating evidence of Israeli involvement in 9/11, while, at the same time, Berlet was leading the charge to brand all such accusations as antisemitic. See, that’s how you work a dialectic and create a mind control matrix.
But the whole point of this blog is my fervent hope cannabis legalization will spread fast and quickly become such a positive event that a consensus of public opinion questions what other lies other than Reefer Madness have we been subjected to? And then, my friends, perhaps some of the real dominoes may start to fall.
Thanks to Lee Bowers, an alert railroad employee with an unobstructed view of Dealey Plaza during the JFK assassination, three men fleeing the scene and hiding in a boxcar in the train yards were picked up and escorted to the nearest police facility, where they were apparently released without being photographed or fingerprinted, an unexplained oversight that should have raised numerous red flags immediately. Bowers would later testify that he heard three shots, one coming from the grassy knoll and two from the mouth of the triple underpass. Bowers died a few years later, before public awareness of the three suspicious men emerged. The men are not mentioned anywhere in the Warren Commission Report, although seven pictures were taken of them by three different photographers. (Similarly, the 9/11 Commission ignored the bizarre collapse of Building 7.)
Anyone with knowledge of law enforcement procedures recognizes something is amiss with these policemen, who seem little interested in the men they are escorting, one of whom carries a large paper sack, and all of whom must be considered suspects in just having murdered the President of the United States. Although wearing Dallas Police uniforms, no member of the Dallas Police would ever be able to identify either of them.
This shot clearly shows the three faces of the “Tramps.” Notice the woman in the background holds her hand over her mouth. Apparently, she believes JFK’s killers are being paraded before her, while one of them smiles with satisfaction.
In the late sixties, Richard Sprague and Bernard Fensterwald formed the Committee to Investigate Assassinations (CITA). Sprague was a photographic buff who’d assembled the largest private collection of JFK photos and became attached to just about every investigation, from Garrison to Congress. One of his more bizarre theories was that a dart had been fired out of an umbrella, and that was the source of Kennedy’s neck wound and real cause of death.
In Illinois, where I grew up, the most brilliant conspiracy researcher was Sherman Skolnick, who’d brought down a federal judge in Chicago before becoming immersed and entangled in the JFK psyops. Although his research remains impeccable, Sherman had a bit of a blind eye on Mossad elements, tending to blame most drug trafficking on the Queen of England. In reality, presidents and heads of state are largely ceremonial and not typically involved in planning or executing the complex war plans, operations that begin with the beating of a psyop drum. Study all the characters who came out of the woodwork to collect and control information on the JFK assassination, because most of them turn out to be spooks, and in hindsight Sherman appears to be one of the few that wasn’t.
CITA held their conference on the anniversary of the JFK assassination in 1973, and upon arrival Skolnick began verbally attacking Fensterwald, accusing him of being a CIA stooge and holding these conferences to find out what real researchers like him were uncovering. At the time, Fensterwald was defending Watergate burglar James McCord, the suspected CIA mole inside CREEP’s plumbers, and Skolnick demanded an independent panel. He got it. But when Skolnick’s panel began, a kook named Amos Hickock began raving about assassination links to the KGB and also announced the Three Tramps were Hunt, Barker and Sturgis of recent Watergate fame. The links from the Kennedy assassination to Watergate were just surfacing, and this was certainly an explosive allegation that tore through the research community like a tornado!
Here’s a little-known factoid: Four pictures of the Three Tramps were first published in Computers and Automation in an article by Richard Sprague on the same day the Watergate burglary appeared in print in the Washington Post.
Also attending that conference in 1973 was A.J. Weberman, who would soon team up with a former McGovern staffer to write a book called Coup d’etat In America. Weberman was a real character. One of the original Zippies, he was also a huge pot dealer on New York’s Lower East Side, and used some profits to help fund a military training camp for potential Mossad agents in the Catskills. Weberman operated with near-impunity for decades before he got ratted out by a former associate who turned State’s evidence and gave up the info on his secret Dutch bank account. After serving his time, Weberman wanted to immigrate to Israel, but couldn’t take the theocracy and quickly moved back to New York, where he seems to be a dirty tricks operative for the Democratic Party these days. When asked about Mossad connections to 9/11, Weberman explodes and orders me to leave the country while accusing me of being “a self-hating Jew.” Real independent research does not seem to be in the forefront of his activity list these days.
Chip Berlet is a close associate of Weberman’s. And when Weberman was researching his book on the JFK assassination in Washington DC, he often stayed at Berlet’s apartment. His real name, by the way, is John Foster Berlet, son of Reserve Army Lt. Col. George Numa Berlet, Jr. Berlet mostly spent the late sixties and early seventies photographing tens of thousands of demonstrators at peace and/or pot rallies, something that surely would have been a valuable resource for intel.
And suspiciously enough, Berlet was on the staff for the CIA-infested and controlled National Student Association, while his mentor, David Ifshin would go on to become general counsel for the American Israel Public Affairs Council (AIPAC). Meanwhile, Berlet evolved into the primary mainstream source for debunking conspiracy theories involving the Federal Reserve. Berlet invented the word “conspiracism,” a fake disease that one day may be enough to get us all locked up on psyche wards for not believing the official stories handed down by the major media to explain events like JFK assassination or 9/11. Berlet has helped construct the future modern inquisition, where independent researchers become excommunicated agents of the devil just for holding heretical beliefs.
The upshot of Weberman’s book was that two of the Three Tramps were Hunt and Sturgis.
Thus the Three Tramps photos became an opening salvo of disinfo on the CIA’s Watergate misdirection operations. Watergate was actually a CIA-sponsored coup against Nixon, who had little clue of the forces rallied against him, just as JFK had little clue of the CIA-sponsored trap he drove into in Dealey Plaza that day.
Weberman claims to have solved the case in 1975, and in a way, he did, for the book speculated that the head of counterintelligence of the CIA headed the assassination, and it was run through an executive action program initially set-up with mostly Cuban exiles, and the reason they killed Kennedy was because he was working towards peace instead of war. Weberman didn’t mention anyone by name (except Hunt and Sturgis), which seems odd, especially since the head of counterintelligence was well-known at the time: James Angleton. However, Weberman’s basic outline of the facts in 1975 was completely correct. But by insisting Hunt and Sturgis were the shooters, and that the Tramps photo proved this, Weberman, in fact, created a rabbit hole that sucked up most of the research community. It would take years for the real Tramps identity to emerge. Meanwhile, the Silvia Odio incident (which proved a conspiracy beyond Oswald) was documented in the book, but never really picked up on and run with until Anthony Summers came along many years later.
If anything, Hunt and Sturgis were used to deflect attention away from the real killers. They were fixers and experts in propaganda and disinfo. Sturgis was probably to the JFK assassination as Lt. Vreeland was to 9/11.
The identity of the Three Tramps was finally revealed when Chauncey Holt, a documents forger for the Lansky Syndicate, confessed as he was dying from cancer. He identified the other two in the photo as CIA agent Charles Rogers and CIA asset Charles Harrelson (father of Woody). Holt wrote Self-Portrait of a Scoundrel, published by Trine Day.
As to be expected, a disinfo story was soon trotted out to dismiss Holt’s confession when a government researcher would locate the names of three men taken into custody that same day. These men were actually booked, however, and their names were taken. They were identified as Gus Abrams, Harold Doyle and John Gedney. Two of the men were located alive and they supposedly “confessed” to being the Three Tramps. Case closed!
Only when Houston police photo expert Lois Gibson examined photos of all the people supposedly involved, she quickly dismissed Abrams, Doyle and Gedney, while stating with absolute certainty that the Three Tramps were, in fact, Holt, Rogers and Harrelson.
I cite all this just to give you an idea how deep the rabbit holes go when it comes to investigating deep political events. Whether they realize it or not, there are more writers working for the CIA’s disinfo system than there are working to uncover the truth.
