My Favorite All-Time Garage Rock Songs

leave a comment »

Spanning fifty years of garage rock history, this list includes songs from Europe as well as South America. Even though I wrote the first book on hip hop, garage rock always remained my first love, musically-speaking. The first band I joined was called The Knight Riders, and they formed in 1966. My next band, The Soul Assassins, formed in New York City twenty years later. If you like r-r-r-real rock and roll, this is my cream of the crop.
